The J. F. Costopoulos Foundation Award was presented in the context of the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival to the winning film POLYDROSO by Alexandros Voulgaris during the awards ceremony of the Festival.

The members of this year’s jury were: Rea Apostolides, producer; Georgis Grigorakis, filmmaker, and Christina Moumouri, director of photography. Here is the jury’s reasoning: For an excellent cast, with outstanding performances. A unique directorial approach that addresses loss with humor, lyricism and disarming honesty. It goes beyond the nostalgia surrounding the concepts of home and mother as our first sanctuary, creating a dreamlike saudade about unforgettable love that permeates the viewers and draws them into its universe.
