The 13th International Contemporary Dance Festival “Dance Days Chania” is realised from July 22 to August 3, 2023. This year’s programming includes 17 performances, 12 workshops, the section “New Creators and Public Space”, a 2 days event of Video dance, a transnational artistic residency in collaboration with Dance House Lemesos, a conference on “The Body in Public Space as Experience and Praxis” in collaboration with the School of Architecture of the Technical University of Crete, a drawing and photography exhibition by kids and teenagers on the theme “My body “speaks” and other events in the city.
Dance Days Chania is being organised by Syn-Kinisi Association of Expressive Dance since 2011 with volunteer work of its members. Up to date, the 13th DDC is co-organised by the Municipality of Chania, the Region of Crete and receives the support of the J. F. Costopoulos Foundation and the Cervantes Instituto Atenas. DDC has received the EFFE Label 2017-2018, 2019-2021 & 2022-2023 certification by the European Organization EFA.
